Superior Court ‘Hubs’ To Adjudicate Small Claims, Ltd. Eviction and Collections Cases

Effective March 18, a handful of Los Angeles Superior Court “hub” courthouses will accept and manage all new small claims, limited collections and limited evictions cases filed in Los Angeles County.

Unless litigants are notified that their case is being transferred, existing small claims cases (under $10,000), limited collections cases (under $25,000), and limited eviction cases (unlawful detainers under $25,000) will be processed in the courthouse where they were filed.

As of March 18, U.S. Postal Service ZIP code locations will dictate where to file a small claims, limited collections or limited eviction case.   LASC developed a table to assist filing parties that will be posted in every courthouse and is also available on the Court’s website www.lasuperiorcourt.org .

The small claims hub courthouses are

·        Stanley Mosk, 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles 90012,

·        Alhambra, 150 W. Commonwealth  91801  (accepting small claims cases previously filed at Alhambra, Glendale, Pasadena, East Los Angeles, El Monte, West Covina and Pomona courthouses),

·        Antelope Valley (Michael D. Antonovich), 42011 Fourth St. West, Lancaster 93534,
