Arraignment Courts Infraction Citation
and Misdemeanor Case Reassignment

New Filings:
Effective
June 3, 2013, all new misdemeanor cases previously filed at the Central Arraignment
Courts of the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, must be
filed at the East Los Angeles Courthouse, 4848 Civic Center Way, Los Angeles,
CA 90022.
Additionally, all traffic and non-traffic infraction
citations issued by law enforcement agencies previously filed at the Central
Arraignment Courts of the Superior Court of California,
Transfer of Pending Cases:
Effective
June 3, 2013, all pending misdemeanor cases at the Central Arraignment Courts will be
transferred to the East Los Angeles Courthouse, and all pending traffic and
non-traffic infraction citations issued by law enforcement agencies will be
transferred to the Metropolitan Courthouse.
Dates previously set on these pending matters will
remain the same, only the location of the hearings and/or trials will change.
As
of June 3, 2013, the Central Arraignment Courts will no longer handle any infraction
citations or misdemeanor cases.
The Central Arraignment Courts will continue to
process all motions for the Los Angeles County Homeless Court Program (LACHCP).
