The official language used for the content of the Los Angeles Superior Court public website is English.   • Jurors reporting to the Bellflower Courthouse may be sent to the Norwalk or Downey Courthouse.
  • Security screening is enforced at all court locations. Please allow extra time to get through the line.

One-Trial Court

The Bellflower Courthouse is on the "One-Trial" jury service term. Under the One-Trial term of service, prospective jurors are placed on call for a period of five (5) days. The prospective juror is required to call in to receive instructions on whether he or she must report for service. Once instructed to report to court, and if selected to serve on a jury, the service obligation is fulfilled upon the conclusion of deliberation, whether or not a verdict is reached. The service obligation is also fulfilled if not in jury selection or selected on a jury at the end of the day when required to report. Please be prepared to accept a trial when you appear for service. The average trial is 5-7 days.

Call after 6:00 p.m. to receive instructions on whether you must report for service.

As A Call-In Program Participant You Can Expect To

  • Call in for five days or until you have been asked to report. If you have not been asked to report after five days, your service is complete.
  • Appear as instructed once your group number is selected.
  • Only be paid for days you actually appear as instructed (after your first day of service).


To report an absence, please call the courtroom you have been assigned to directly. The courtroom telephone numbers are listed on the “Juror Orientation Information Sheet” that you were given on the first day.

Jury Parking

    Free juror parking is provided in the multi-level parking structure located behind the library off of Civic Center Drive. Do not park by the library either on the street or in the lot directly behind the library.

All questions concerning jury service should be directed to the jury personnel at the Bellflower Courthouse at (562) 345-3397, Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon) and 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
